55+ Club Memberships Are Now Free For Stouffville Residents

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is now offering residents aged 55 years of age or older access to a ‘55+ Club’ membership for free. The active adult membership gives full access to exciting services and programs that help members learn new skills, have fun, stay active and meet new people.

“We’re excited to take another step forward to remove barriers so all residents can access our programs,” says Mayor Iain Lovatt “I hope that all adults over 55 years of age will join the 55+ Club as a way to have fun while being more involved in their community”

On July 22, 2022 Council decided to make 55+ Club memberships free for residents 55 years and older. This membership gives you access to all locations that run 55+ recreation programs and services, including 6240 Main St, Latcham Hall and the Leisure Centre.

The 55+ Club membership gives you access to a variety of opportunities and other perks including:

  • Affordable rates for activities and programs designed for participants 55+ (fitness, creative arts, dance, computers, general interest programs and more.
  • Free Health and wellness seminars, including blood pressure and hearing clinics.
  • Free drop-in activities including Billiards, Bridge, Canasta, Mah Jong, knitting circle, painting social and more – activities happening daily!
  • Access to lounge with free refreshments available.
  • Group travel opportunities and members only special events.
  • Community lunches.
  • Monthly 55+ Recreation newsletters.
  • Volunteer opportunities.
