Earth Day Clean Up

Join Our Community Clean-Up Initiative!

This Earth Day, make a difference in your neighborhood by organizing or participating in a Community Clean-Up! It’s a fantastic way to contribute to our town's beauty and sustainability. Here’s everything you need to know to get involved:

How to Participate:
Register your community clean-up. By registering, you'll receive essential supplies from us—gloves and garbage bags—to help keep our town tidy. Plus, we’ll organize a pick-up of the garbage collected after your clean-up effort.

Clean-Up Dates:
Mark your calendars! Community Clean-Ups can be organized between April 20th and April 27th, 2024.

Registration Deadline:
Don't miss out! Ensure your clean-up is registered by April 19th, 2024, to take full advantage of our support.

Supplies Pick-Up:
Registered? Great! Pick up your garbage bags and gloves at our Earth Day Event, happening Saturday, April 20th, 2024, from 9:30 am to 2 pm at the Leisure Centre. If you can't make it during this time, no worries—contact ParksAdmin@townofws.ca to arrange another pick-up time.

A Few Guidelines:

  • Location of Clean-Up: Avoid private properties, railways, roadways, and riverbanks. And remember, safety first—don’t clean up during bad weather.
  • Found Something Hazardous? If you encounter dangerous items like needles or broken glass, please contact the Leisure Centre for safe disposal.
  • Safety Tips: Supervise children closely and always wear gloves.
