Group Fitness & Cycle Fit Schedule

  • Members scan membership cards to verify status, 10 visit pass holders swipe cards to cover admittance or clients may pay as they go at the Leisure Center reception area
  • Laminated admit tickets are provided at reception for aquafit or at the fitness desk for group fitness or cycle fit
  • Admit tickets are available 30 minutes prior to class
  • Admittance is not permitted beyond 5 minutes past class start time. Please arrive on time
  • Bring a water bottle; fill stations are available

Saturday, May 25th 

2:15 – 4:15 p.m. Family Badminton
(6 – 12 years plus adult)

  • Admissions will be sold at the front desk, 15 minutes before the program begins. Wristbands must be worn at all times.
  • Some adult and family drop-in programs are unsupervised – play fairly and share the gym space.
  • Please come dressed for your activity and bring indoor shoes. Court shoes are recommended.
  • Spectators are not permitted.
  • Photo identification may be requested in order to verify the age of participants.

  • All skating activites are monitored by Town staff
  • CSA approved hockey helmets and equipment are mandatory for Shinny and Stick & Puck. Full face mask and full equipment is strongly recommended.
  • CSA approved hocket helmets with a full-face mask and full equipment are mandatory for Youth Shinny
  • CSA approved helmets are highly recommended for all recreational skaters
  • Slapshots are not permitted
  • Skate Programs - View the different skating activities we offer for families and individuals of all ages and abilities. Wheelchairs are welcome at all of our skating programs. Children nine and under must have a parent on the ice and children 10 to 12 years old must have a parent stay in the rink. Canadian Standard Association (CSA) approved hockey helmets are recommended for all recreational skaters.
  • Family Stick & Puck - A casual way to practice the basics of hockey: shooting, passing & stick handling. Hockey helmets are required for all participants & children’s helmets must have a cage. Scrimmages are not permitted. Slapshots are not permitted. This program provides an opportunity for children and their parents to spend some quality time & play together. Children are not permitted on the ice alone & no adults are permitted without a child. Max. 3 children per an adult. Family Stick & Puck has a maximum capacity of 30 people and spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Children ages restricted to 4 – 12. ID may be requested for proof of age.
  • Adult and Youth Stick & Puck – A causal game of non-contact hockey. All skaters must wear a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) approved hockey helmet with a full-face mask and bring their own hockey or ringette equipment. Goalies are free with a maximum of 2 per timeslot. Slapshots are not permitted. Adult & Youth Stick & Puck has a maximum capacity of 30 people and spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Youth Stick & Puck are for ages 13 – 17 ONLY. Adult Shinny is for ages 18+ ONLY.
  • Shinny - Shinny is a casual game of non-contact hockey. We offer both adult shinny, for people 18 and over, and youth shinny for people 13 to 17 years old, for a maximum of 30 skaters. Shinny can have up to 30 players and two goalies (goalies play for free). All players must wear: skates, full equipment, CSA approved helmet. Players are responsible for organizing themselves.
  • Public Skate - General public skate is open for skaters of all ages and abilities. There are 75 skaters allowed on the ice during public skates. Public skating is for casual skating only, not for drills or private lessons. 
  • Free Adults and Senior Skate - Free adult skates are for skaters over 18 who want to practice their skating skills during leisure skates. Senior skates are for skaters over 60. There are 75 skaters allowed on the ice during free adult and senior skates.
  • Parent and Tot Skate - Parent and tot skates are for parents or adults to assist children under the age of six who are learning to skate. This program is great for children who want to skate in a slower-paced environment with the assistance of an adult. Adults 18 and over must accompany children on the ice. There are 30 skaters allowed on the ice during parent and tot skates.

  • Lane Swim - Lane swim is a time designated for fitness swimming and is open to participants 10 years of age and up. To ensure all swimmers have a safe and enjoyable swim, swim etiquette must be followed:
    - Follow the direction listed on the signs. These signs are stationed by the deep end of the pool.
    - To avoid collision with other swimmers, please leave enough space between the swimmer in front of you and yourself. If you must pass the swimmer, please proceed with caution. Watch for oncoming swimmers.
    - To avoid physical contact with others, do not do back crawl or butterfly.
    - If you are performing flip turns, please push off with caution. Be aware of what is going on around you.
    - Be attentive to the lifeguard’s alerts and instructions. If you hear a whistle, immediately stop swimming, and listen to the lifeguard’s announcement.

  • Family Swim - Family swim takes place in the therapy pool and is designed for caregivers and children. Inflatables are not allowed but there are noodles available for water play.

Aquafit is a low-impact aerobics class that works on cardio and muscle conditioning. Aquafit classes are open to participants 14 years of age and older.
