Leisure Centre Service Interruption Resolved

May 20, 2024

The Leisure Centre (2 Park Drive) is currently experiencing a power outage. As a result, the facility is closed, and all programming is cancelled until power is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to resolve the issue. The Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville passed By-law 2024-028-DS to designate the following property as a property of cultural heritage value or interest pursuant to the provisions of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter O.18, Part IV, Section 29.

Notice of Public Meeting: Proposed Heritage Conservation Districts

The purpose of this Council Public Meeting on May 15, 2024, is to consider the Heritage Conservation District Plans for Church Street, O’Brien Avenue, and Main Street West, and receive input from the community prior to a final Council decision.  

Public Meeting: Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment ZBA24.003

The purpose and effect of the proposed amendments to the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 2010-001-ZO is to create zoning regulations to enable up to (3) dwelling units on fully serviced residential lots (Stouffville Settlement Area). This is required to bring the Town’s Zoning By-law into conformity with Provincial Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022.

Notice: Stouffville Road & Highway 48 MTO Project

The Ministry of Transportation culvert rehabilitation project at Highway 48 and Stouffville Road is beginning again for the season as of April 2. Please be aware of traffic implications that may occur and obey signage posted.
