STOUFFVILLE

Parks and Open Spaces

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has great parks that offer a range of amenities such as splash pads, playgrounds, sport courts, sports fields, and a dog park. Our extensive trail network is popular among cyclists, joggers and people out for leisurely walks with their dogs. There are many trails throughout the community both local and many of the trails connect to the large forested areas in York Region.

All Parks and Trails are designed for the enjoyment of everyone, all ages and abilities. For your enjoyment and the safety of others, please obey the posted regulations in town parks and on town trails.

The Bench and Tree Donation Program is designed to increase public enjoyment and participation in all Municipal parks. Benches and trees make great gifts to both your beneficiary and your favorite park. Best of all, your donation helps support parks everywhere!

Playgrounds are inspected regularly as per Canadian Safety Association (CSA) legislation. Please perform a walkabout of playground area prior to allowing children on any equipment or play surfaces. You are welcome to bring your dog(s) to any of our parks, however, they must be leashed at all times and all litter picked up as per Parks Bylaw 75-87. All parks have recycling bins for cans and bottles. Please help to "pitch in". All parks and parkland are pesticide free. Many parks and trails are naturalized to allow for natural growth which creates an environment suitable for local plant and animal species. Take it with you. What you pack in on the trails, pack it out. During winter months, use caution when using the walkways within parks, as they are not maintained during that period. Pathways can be slippery when wet or snow covered.
