Toboggan hills

The Town does not maintain open areas often used for winter activities, including toboggan hills. Please use outdoor areas at your own risk and follow these guidelines:

  • All children should be supervised by an adult
  • Check the hill for any hazards such as trees, rocks, fences, bumps, garbage cans or other people
  • Avoid ice-covered areas
  • Make sure there is room at the bottom of the hill to stop safely – away from roads, bodies of water, or other obstructions
  • Use proper sliding equipment and wear a helmet – ski helmets are recommended
  • Please be always obey traffic rules and be cautious of oncoming traffic when crossing the road
  • Read all park signage thoroughly to ensure the hill is designated for tobogganing

Please note tobogganing is only permitted at Memorial Park and Rupert Park.

Accessible formats available upon request. Contact 905-640-1900 or customer.service@townofws.ca for assistance.
