Construction Notice: Ministry of Transportation Rehabilitation of Highway 404

June 18, 2024

The purpose of this project is to restore the ride quality of the pavement, rehabilitate Bloomington and CNR bridges, and decrease ongoing maintenance demands. The construction activities will be during the day and night to complete the project. The duration of construction will be approximately from May 2024 to the Fall of 2026.

This Notice is to advise that in accordance with Section 41 of Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter O.18 the Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville at its meeting on June 5th, 2024 has made the decision to: Pass By-laws 2024-068-DS, 2024-069-DS, and 2024-070-DS To designate Heritage Conservation Districts.

Power Outage Resulting in Leisure Centre Closure

June 15, 2024

There is currently a power outage in the area of the Leisure Centre, resulting in the closure of the facility. HydroOne does not have an estimated restoration time; however, staff is onsite and will be ready to reopen once power is restored. Leisure Centre Service Interruption Resolved

The Leisure Centre (2 Park Drive) is currently experiencing a power outage. As a result, the facility is closed, and all programming is cancelled until power is restored.
