Town Declares Surplus Land on Ninth Line
At a Council meeting on Wednesday January 17, Stouffville Council deemed a parcel of land near the corner of Ninth Line and Main Street surplus. The vacant lands have been declared surplus and are offered for sale at market value. The subject lands are composed of three contiguous parcels of land with a total site area of 0.587 acres (0.2375 hectares/2,374.8 square metres).
Special Council Meeting - January 31, 2024 (5:00 p.m.)
Please take notice that the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville will hold a Special Council meeting on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers located at 111 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville.
Notice of Intention to Designate a Property of Cultural Heritage Value: “Mansion House Hotel”
The Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville intends to designate 6162 Main Street, in the community of Stouffville, under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, as being a property of cultural heritage value at the Council meeting held on March 6, 2024 at 1 p.m.
Public Meeting: Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment ZBA23.003
The proposed amendments to the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 2010-001-ZO is to make site specific changes to rezone the lands municipally known as 338 Elm Road, 124 Fairview Avenue, and 340 Glad Park Avenue from the Residential One (R1) zone to a site specific Residential Four Exception (R4(X)) zone.
Notice of Study Completion: Transportation Master Plan
The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has completed an update to the town-wide Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The TMP update accounts for changes in the transportation context, including new population and employment forecasts to the year 2051.
Notice of Completion: Water and Wastewater Master Plan
The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has prepared a Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update (WWWMP) following Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process. The Master Plan was initiated in 2022 and followed Approach #1 of the master planning process.
Development Charges By-Laws Approved
On December 6, Council approved By-Laws 2023-146-FI through to 2023-152-FI, which impose development charges as outlined in the Development Charges Act. These by-laws replace the current one, By-Law 2018-165, starting January 1, 2024.
Notice of Study Commencement and Public Information Centre – Highway 48 Block Municipal Servicing Class EA
C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. on behalf of the proponent is undertaking a Master Environmental Servicing Plan (MESP) Study for the proposed water and wastewater servicing solutions, collector roads and stormwater management facilities that will support the future growth of the Highway 48 Block.
Notice of Project Transition
The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is transitioning the Pedestrian Crossing and Pathway project based on the amended Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (2023). The Pedestrian Crossing and Pathway project commenced in November 2022 as a Schedule B project when the Town proposed a trail and walking/cycling bridge over Little Rouge Creek to connect Ken Betz Court with Madori Park and the Millard Street West Trail.
