Notice of Intent to Designate 14205 Woodbine Avenue "Preston House"

The Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville intends to designate 14205 Woodbine Avenue, in the community of Preston Lake, under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, as being a property of cultural heritage value at the Council meeting held on November 5, 2025 at 1pm.

York Regional Police Hosts Home Security Day & Ned’s Wish Heroes Run

On October 4, 2025, from 9 AM to 4 PM, York Regional Police will host Home Security Day at Home Depot in Markham, offering expert crime prevention tips and discounted security products. Later that day, at 11 AM, the fifth annual Heroes Run will take place at Simeon Park in Gormley, honoring RCMP Police Dog Hrain and supporting retired service dogs across Canada. Register for both events and take part in a day dedicated to safety and service.

Sugar Maple Park Courts Maintenance

Mail Service Delays Due to the Canada Post Strike

Due to the Canada Post strike, mail service to and from the Town of Stouffville will be delayed. This includes, but is not limited to, the issuance of public planning, construction notices and by-law infractions. 

Safety advisory: Unauthorized Hunting in Rouge National Urban Park

September 19, 2025

The Town of Stouffville has been notified of potential unauthorized deer hunting in the Rouge Valley, including the Northeast area of Rouge National Urban Park. Hunting and the use of firearms is strictly prohibited in Rouge National Urban Park, given significant public safety risks. Effective Friday, September 19, Parks Canada has temporarily closed the some trail areas to ensure public safety, including Glasgow Day Use Area at 1867 Concession Road 2, Whitchurch-Stouffville. These areas will re-open for visitor use on Monday, September 22, 2025. Visitors are asked to respect signage, follow the direction of onsite staff and report any safety concerns to Parks Canada Dispatch at 1-877-852-3100.
