The Water/Wastewater Department with the help of Ontario Clean Water Agency will be conducting a Swabbing program in your area Sunday September 24th, 2023 from the hours of 9:00 pm September 24th until at 5:30 am September 25th. We strongly recommend that no water is used during these times. It is advised to close your main water shutoff (by the water meter) before swabbing begins to avoid any inadvertent running of water - which may result in discolored water/sediment to be drawn into your internal plumbing. If this cannot be accomplished, please isolate hot water tanks, bypass water softeners and irrigation systems during the work period. Once the swabbing is completed, open a cold water tap closest to the water meter and run until the water is clear. Before doing laundry, it is recommended that the taps are open, and the water has been flushed to clear.
