The purpose of this Council Public Meeting is to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment. This is a way for you to offer input and get involved.

Scope of Application: An application for a Minor Official Plan Amendment which would permit the development of a new residential dwelling unit on private water and sewer infrastructure.

What are the Proposed Changes?
The application seeks to exempt the subject property from the Policies of Sections 11.6.3.1 and 11.6.4 of the Ballantrae – Mussleman’s Lake and Environs Secondary Plan.
This would permit the development of a single detached dwelling on private services (well and septic). A provisional approval for a consent to create a new lot for a residential dwelling which was granted by Committee of Adjustment through File No. CA-24-06.

Any person may attend the Council Public Meeting in person or electronically and make written and/or verbal representation either in support of or against the Official Plan Amendment Application. Appeal Procedure:
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville before the proposed official plan (or official plan amendment) is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville before the proposed official plan (or official plan amendment) is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
