Town of Stouffville Launching New Tool to Help Residents Monitor Water Usage and Leaks
The Town of Stouffville has partnered with Vertex One and Neptune Technology Group Canada Co. to offer an online customer water use portal that will help residents monitor their water consumption and avoid costly leaks. The new Water Watch Portal is coming soon and will officially be live on May 29, however, residents can sign up now to be the first to get their water usage information right to their preferred devices.
With the new Water Watch Portal you can:
- Set and receive leak alerts;
- Identify usage and monitor efficiencies;
- View and compare historical usage data;
- And access account information from anywhere
The Water Watch Portal is part of the town's ongoing Water Meter Replacement Program. If you have had your water meter replaced within the last four years and have an email address on file with the Town, you will receive an invitation to register for the Water Watch Portal.
Once you have registered for the Water Watch Portal, you can access it using your email address and a unique password that you create. The portal provides real-time data on your water usage, which will help you to identify any areas of concern and make changes to reduce your water consumption.
"The Water Watch Portal is going to improve service levels and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Whitchurch-Stouffville," said Stouffville Mayor, Iain Lovatt. "Council is excited to offer this innovative tool to our community to help monitor water usage and avoid costly leaks.”
“With the new Portal, our residents will have access to data on their water consumption and will be able to make informed, timely decisions about their water usage and take steps to reduce their consumption and their bills." Lovatt said.
