Construction Update From The Ballantrae Sport Group

The Ballantrae Sports Group (BSG) has provided an update and revised the timeline for the construction of the Ballantrae Multi-Sport Dome.

Project background:

The complex consists of two (2) domes and a clubhouse. The first dome is a 136,500 sq. ft. air-supported dome structure, field-lined for multi-sport use for training and competition. The second is a 50,000 sq. ft. indoor court facility designed for court sports of all types. The auxiliary 7600 sq. ft clubhouse will connect both domes and house a reception area, boardroom, and offices.

Construction update:

Due to unexpected supply chain issues, BSG is unable to meet the original targeted end of year opening date. The new opening will be in summer 2024.

What’s next:

BSG is working closely with Town staff to ensure the completeness of the design and to seamlessly navigate the permit process. Stormwater and wastewater planning will be finalized within the coming weeks and weather permitting, construction will commence in early 2024.
