December 28 - Freezing Rain Significant Weather Event

The Town of Stouffville has declared a Significant Weather Event due to winter weather conditions expected to impact the community.

The following statement has been issued:

The Corporation of The Town of Stouffville declares a significant weather event due to a Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada, commencing at 1:40 pm on December 28th , 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239.

All transportation routes such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways may require additional time to clear. 

The Significant Weather Event declaration will remain in effect until further notice. During this time, municipal maintenance and cleanup timelines may be extended as crews respond to conditions in accordance with provincial standards.

Residents are encouraged to exercise caution when travelling and to allow extra time for winter maintenance operations.
