Scam Alert: Fraudulent Calls Claiming to Be from Stouffville Firefighters

The Town of Stouffville has been made aware of a recent phone scam targeting residents in our community. Individuals have reported receiving calls from someone falsely claiming to be a Town of Stouffville firefighter and asking for donations.

We want to remind the public that our firefighters will never call residents to request money or solicit donations of any kind.

If you receive a suspicious call like this, do not provide any personal or financial information. Hang up immediately and report the incident to:

  • Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre: 1-888-495-8501
