Stouffville Launches Business Registration Program to Strengthen Local Economy

The Town of Stouffville is launching a new Business Registration Program (BRP) on January 1, 2026, designed to strengthen communication with local businesses and provide the Town with valuable insights to better support economic growth. The voluntary, no-fee program invites all brick-and-mortar businesses operating in Stouffville to register and take part in shaping the future of the local economy.

The BRP aims to build a clearer picture of Stouffville’s business landscape, one that is diverse, fast-growing, and full of entrepreneurial spirit. With accurate and up-to-date information, the Town will be better equipped to make informed decisions related to job creation, business supports, and long-term planning. The program also seeks to enhance access to regional workforce data, better identify sector trends, and offer more targeted support to local enterprises.

Registered businesses will benefit from increased visibility through the Town’s upcoming online business registry, access to a New Business Guide featuring key contacts and support services, eligibility for promotional features in Town communications, and opportunities to provide feedback that will help shape future programs and policies. Importantly, the BRP is not a business license and does not replace or imply compliance with other regulatory requirements, businesses must still obtain any necessary permits and approvals under applicable laws.

The Business Registration Program represents a meaningful step toward building a more connected and responsive business community in Stouffville. Businesses can register online starting January 1, 2026.

For those who prefer in-person support, staff will be available during BRP Office Hours at 19 on the Park on Monday, January 12, 2026 (12 PM – 3 PM), and Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (2 PM – 4:30 PM).
