Stouffville Recognized as One of Canada’s Best Places to Work for 2024

The Town of Stouffville is proud to announce its inclusion in the Human Resources Director Canada (HRD) list of Best Places to Work for 2024. This recognition highlights Stouffville's commitment to fostering a supportive and equitable work environment, prioritizing work-life balance, mental health, and empathetic leadership.

The HRD honours organizations that excel in employee engagement, low turnover, tenure, compensation and benefits, health and wellness, diversity, professional development, recognition, and sustainability. To be considered for the list, staff prepared a detailed submission highlighting the town’s efforts and achievements in these areas. After the submission, a survey was administered to measure employee engagement and satisfaction. To be named a Best Place to Work for 2024, an organization must achieve at least a 75% overall satisfaction rating. Stouffville achieved an overall satisfaction rating of 84%.

"Being named one of Canada's Best Places to Work is not just an accolade for our staff but a win for our entire community," said Mayor Iain Lovatt. "Our dedicated and engaged employees drive the exceptional services and programs that make Stouffville a wonderful place to live. This award not only highlights staff excellence but also reinforces our commitment to fostering a thriving, vibrant community."

"This award reflects the collaborative and inclusive culture we strive to maintain every day," said Stouffville’s Chief Administrative Officer, Sunny Bains. "Our focus on employee well-being and development has been key to our success, and we will keep building on this foundation to ensure Stouffville remains a great place to work."
