Zoning By-law Update for the Ballantrae-Musselman Lake and Environs Secondary Plan Area (OPA 136)
In 2014, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville adopted Official Plan Amendment 136 (OPA 136) for the Ballantrae-Musselman Lake and Environs Secondary Plan Area and passed the associated Zoning By-law 2014-007-ZO that would come into force and effect following the approval of OPA 136.
In 2014, the OPA 136 was forwarded to York Region for final approval but a decision was not issued. As a result, OPA 136 was appealed for non-decision.
On January 31, 2025, the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) issued the decision to approve the OPA 136 for the Ballantrae-Musselman Lake and Environs Secondary Plan Area. OPA 136 and the associated Zoning By-law 2014-007-ZO is now in force and effect.
