As we continue dig our way out of the storm, we ask for patience as we finish cleaning all the remaining snow.
1. WINDROWS: Two rounds of windrow clearing have been completed (Sunday and Monday evening). The driveway clearing program will be re-activated at 6:00 PM tonight and expected to last overnight.
2. MAIN STREET: Snow removal on Main Street will start Wednesday February 19 starting at 9:00 PM and will continue overnight.

The Memorial Park Skating Trail is now open for skating!

Stouffville Fire and Emergency Services is reminding building owners, landlords and residents, to clear snow and ice away from hydrants. The clearing of snow and ice from around both private and municipal hydrants is the responsibility of the individual property owners.

SKATING TRAIL - Because of the accumulating snow, today's Memorial Park Skating Trail opening has been delayed. An opening time is not currently known, but will depend on the amount of snow needed to be cleared.

SKATING TRAIL - Due to the accumulated snow, the Memorial Park Skating Trail will open at 11AM.
Opening times for the Leisure Centre remain the same as anticipated - 11 AM this morning. If any times change, they will be posted here.
Town winter crews remain hard at work salting and plowing roads and sidewalks. Residents can help by not pushing snow onto the roads or sidewalks, clearing fire hydrants and not blocking any lanes with parked vehicles. For winter maintenance information, visit townofws.ca/snow.

Youth Shinny, scheduled for 7 - 9 PM at Stouffville Clippers Complex, has been cancelled.

Based on the current weather conditions and the forecasted overnight snowfall, the Stouffville Leisure Centre and associated programs will be closed and/or cancelled until 11 AM Sunday morning. The 11 AM swim lessons and drop-in basketball program will currently run as scheduled. We will continue to honour all permits at Town arenas.

Fireside Munsch, part of the the Concert Series at Nineteen on the Park, as been postponed. The concert will be rescheduled to a later date. We will be posting further information regarding tickets in th enear future.

The Town of Stouffville has declared a significant weather event due to an incoming winter storm that is expected to bring up to 25 cm of snow into Monday, February 17. Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for the region, warning of poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
Our full road maintenance crew is prepared, but snow clearing may take longer than usual. Residents are advised to drive cautiously, allow extra travel time, and give snowplows plenty of space.
