Schedules are subject to change based on demand. Cancellations may occur for special events & holidays; cancellations can be found at townofws.ca/active. For more information contact the Leisure Centre at 905-642-PLAY (7529).

Group Fitness & Cycle Fit Schedule

  • Members scan membership cards to verify status, 10 visit pass holders swipe cards to cover admittance or clients may pay as they go at the Leisure Center reception area
  • Laminated admit tickets are provided at reception for aquafit or at the fitness desk for group fitness or cycle fit
  • Admit tickets are available 30 minutes prior to class
  • Admittance is not permitted beyond 5 minutes past class start time. Please arrive on time
  • Bring a water bottle; fill stations are available

Review March Break Schedule for Cancellations 

  • Admissions will be sold at the front desk, 15 minutes before the program begins. Wristbands must be worn at all times.
  • Some adult and family drop-in programs are unsupervised – play fairly and share the gym space.
  • Please come dressed for your activity and bring indoor shoes. Court shoes are recommended.
  • Spectators are not permitted.
  • Photo identification may be requested in order to verify the age of participants.

Monday, March 10 - Friday, March 14

Review March Break Schedule for Cancellations 

Parent & Tot Skate/Stick & Puck – Ages 6 & under (with an adult)

  • This program allows families to practice learning to skate and basic stick and puck handling skills. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian on the ice. Max. 3 children per adult.
  • Children must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet with a full-face mask.

Public Skate All ages

  • A leisure skate for all ages and abilities. Children 10 years of age and younger should have a parent/guardian remain in the building. Public skating is for casual skating only, not for drills or private lessons. Strollers are not permitted on the ice, but wheelchairs are allowed when accompanied by a skater.
  • A CSA-approved helmet is recommended for all skaters.

Adult/Senior Free Skate – Ages 18+

  • A time specifically for adults and older adults to enjoy a leisure skate.
  • A CSA-approved helmet is recommended for all skaters.

Family Stick & Puck – Ages 4-10 (with an adult)

  • A casual way for families to practice the basics of hockey – shooting, passing, and stick handling. Children are not permitted on the ice alone, and no adults are permitted without a child. Max. 3 children per adult. Scrimmages are not permitted. Max. capacity of 30 people – spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A CSA-approved hockey helmet with a full-face mask and full equipment (including neck guard) is mandatory for children. A CSA-approved helmet is mandatory for adults.

Youth Shinny – Ages 11-17

  • A time for youth to practice hockey skills and participate in a pick-up hockey game. Slapshots and contact hockey are not permitted. Max. capacity of 30 people, and spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • A CSA-approved hockey helmet with a full-face mask and full equipment (including neck guard) is mandatory.

Adult Shinny – Ages 18+

  • A casual, pick-up game of hockey for adults ages 18+ only. Slapshots and contact hockey are not permitted. Goalies are free with a maximum of 2 per timeslot.
  • A CSA-approved hockey helmet is mandatory and full equipment (including neck guard) is strongly recommended

  • Lane Swim - Lane swim is a time designated for fitness swimming and is open to participants 10 years of age and up. To ensure all swimmers have a safe and enjoyable swim, swim etiquette must be followed:
    - Follow the direction listed on the signs. These signs are stationed by the deep end of the pool.
    - To avoid collision with other swimmers, please leave enough space between the swimmer in front of you and yourself. If you must pass the swimmer, please proceed with caution. Watch for oncoming swimmers.
    - To avoid physical contact with others, do not do back crawl or butterfly.
    - If you are performing flip turns, please push off with caution. Be aware of what is going on around you.
    - Be attentive to the lifeguard’s alerts and instructions. If you hear a whistle, immediately stop swimming, and listen to the lifeguard’s announcement.

  • Family Swim - Family swim takes place in the therapy pool and is designed for caregivers and children. Inflatables are not allowed but there are noodles available for water play.

Aquafit is a low-impact aerobics class that works on cardio and muscle conditioning. Aquafit classes are open to participants 14 years of age and older.
