Corporate Services

Corporate Services is responsible for effectively planning, and supporting the appropriate and innovative use of information and communications technology, the provision of various statutory services delivered by the Clerk's department, enforcing all Municipal by-laws, and overseeing the Administrative Monetary Penalty System and Automated Speed Enforcement Program.

Divisions

By-law

The Municipal Law Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing all Municipal by-laws, performing field investigations and follow-up inspections to achieve compliance. The Municipal Law Enforcement Division also encompasses all parking issues and Animal Services.

Legislative Services

The Legislative Services' Division is responsible for the provision of various statutory services and corporate support to the Town, including secretariat services to Town Council and its committees, administration of municipal elections, issuance of licenses and permits, collection of vital statistics, solemnization of marriages, and administration of public cemeteries within the Town. The Legislative Services' Division also acts as an information hub for the public, Members of Council and Town staff, through managing freedom of information requests and providing records management services to the Corporation.

Information Technology (IT)

The Information Technology Services Division plans, implements, and supports the innovative use of information and communications technology across the municipality. Key responsibilities include managing technology projects and ensuring that municipal systems, applications, networks, devices, and communication tools are available and effective. The division also provides technical leadership, support, and training for GIS and other specialized systems, assists in streamlining business processes, ensures technology continuity, maintains and supports the corporate website and intranet, and supports Members of Council, employees, and authorized users.

Adjudication Services

The Adjudication Services Division oversees the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) and Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program. This division ensures compliance with legislated requirements, manages inquiries, schedules and conducts screenings and assists with hearings, and processes penalty notices. It ensures the integrity and fairness of the Town's adjudication processes and allows for matters to be heard in a timely manner.
