Notice of Construction: Vivian Road from Woodbine Ave to Highway 48
Improvements are coming to Vivian Road in the Town of Stouffville.
Description:

Removing and replacing asphalt road surface on Vivian Road from Woodbine Avenue to Highway 48
-
Repairing and replacing culverts that allow water to run freely under the road and driveways
-
A temporary road closure is required for a culvert replacement
-
Residents will be contacted by the contractor before work commences on driveways
-
Installing guiderails and concrete barriers that provide a barrier between the roadway and potentially hazardous situations

Cleaning roadside ditches
Duration:

June to September 2026
Impacts to travellers:
-
Lane restrictions, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM

A temporary road closure is required on Vivian Road east of Kennedy Road for one weekend in June to replace a culvert
-
Traffic will not be able to travel through the culvert site during the road closure
-
Local traffic will be permitted on either side of the road closure to maintain access to driveways
-
A formal notice of temporary road closure will be issued when closure dates are confirmed
-
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
