Notice of Public Meeting - Proposed Downtown Heritage Conservation District

Community Involvement:

The purpose of this Public Meeting is to consider the Downtown Heritage Conservation District Plan and receive input from the community prior to a final Council decision. The boundary of the proposed Downtown Heritage Conservation District is outlined on the map below.

Appeal Procedure:

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville before the proposed Heritage Conservation District Plans are adopted or by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville before the proposed Heritage Conservation District Plans are adopted or by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party
