Main Street Additional Paving Work

As part of the Town’s ongoing roadway rehabilitation program, additional paving work is scheduled for the eastbound lane of Main Street, from Highway 48 to 5417 Main Street, in October 2026, weather permitting.

This follow-up work is being completed to ensure the finished roadway meets the Town's quality standards.

Upcoming Work

  • Paving operations will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Approximately 300 metres of the eastbound lane will be temporarily closed.
  • Eastbound traffic will be shifted into a shared lane within the westbound roadway.
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained through the work zone.

Impact to Travelers

Temporary lane restrictions and traffic delays are expected during the work. Access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help motorists safely navigate the area.
