Update - 2026 Asphalt Roadway Resurfacing Project

Resurfacing work continues on Hoover Park Drive as part of the Town’s 2026 Asphalt Roadway Resurfacing Project.

Major construction is expected to be completed before the start of the school year. Minor finishing work, including crosswalk stamping at Hoover Park Drive and Weldon Road, will take place in early September.

Upcoming Work/ Duration

  • Traffic loop reinstatement: August 26 to 28
  • Minor Road milling work: August 29
  • Road paving: Week of August 31
  • Line painting: August 31 to September 7, primarily overnight
  • Crosswalk stamping: Early September
  • Paving equipment will be parked on Mostar Street, south of Hoover Park Drive from August 28-31.

Impact to travellers

Moderate to significant delays are expected during paving, with lane closures and partial road closures required. Minimal impacts are anticipated during the remaining work.

Hoover Park Drive will remain open, with travel maintained between Ninth Line and Sandiford Drive. Temporary left-turn restrictions may be in place at Weldon Road, Mostar Street and Sandiford Drive.

Additional signage and traffic-control measures will be installed to help motorists safely navigate the construction area.
