Aurora Road Closure from July 26 - July 27
Aurora Road between Warden Avenue and Woodbine Avenue will be closed on Saturday July 26, 2025 from 7 AM to 7 PM on Sunday July 27, 2025 for railway rehab work.
Notice: Weekend On-Street Parking Restrictions
To accommodate special events in Memorial Park this weekend, on-street parking will be restricted to one side of the street. Temporary “No Parking” signage will be installed by Friday July 11, 2025, and removed by Monday July 14, 2025.
Construction Notice: York Durham Line from Bethesda Sideroad to 14th Avenue
The project on York Durham Line, from Bethesda Sideroad to 14th Avenue in the City of Markham and Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, involves removing and replacing the asphalt road surface. The current asphalt contains traces of asbestos, which were commonly used in mixes during the 1970s and 1980s, though the risk of exposure is minimal. Precautionary measures will be taken during removal. Additional work includes replacing road crossings and driveway culverts, cleaning roadside ditches, and replacing curbs. Due to the road’s width, a series of road closures will be necessary to safely complete the project.
Notice of 55+ Club Closure
The 55+ Club at 6240 Main Street will be temporality closed from Wednesday June 25 through Sunday June 30 for scheduled facility maintenance.
Notice of Adoption and Passing of By-laws Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment
On June 4, 2025, Whitchurch-Stouffville Council adopted Official Plan Amendment 169 and passed Zoning By-laws 2025-044-OP and 2025-045-ZO for 15400 Highway 48. The amendments redesignate the lands from Institutional to Commercial/Mixed-Use under the Ballantrae-Musselman Lake Secondary Plan and rezone them accordingly.
Notice of GO Transit Service Changes – Stouffville Line
GO Transit service on the Stouffville line will be temporarily adjusted from July 4 to 6, 2025, to support construction of the East Harbour Transit Hub. GO buses will replace trains between Union Station and Unionville GO, with no service at Milliken, Agincourt, and Kennedy GO stations.
