Fire & Emergency Services to Conduct Tanker Shuttle Evolutions Training
Stouffville Fire & Emergency Services will be undertaking a critical training exercise on Thursday September 12, performing tanker shuttle evolutions. During this time, fire trucks will operate in an emergency response capacity, including the use of lights and sirens, as they shuttle water to a designated location. The exercise will be conducted between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Shuttling water to a fire scene is a critical operation in a community such as Stouffville, due to our vast rural geographical area.
Residents are asked to avoid the area of Tenth Line between Forsyth Farm and Bethesda Road during the training exercise to ensure safety and to allow crews to conduct operations efficiently.
York Regional Police and Metrolinx have been informed. No transit service disruptions are anticipated because of this exercise.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to make Stouffville a safer community for all.
