Notice - New Road Safety Measures to be implemented by York Region

York Region is implementing new safety measures at the following locations in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville:

Locations

  • Ninth Line near Musselman’s Lake

York Region is reducing the speed limit to 30 km/h on Ninth Line around Musselman’s Lake and installing all-way stops at the following intersections: 

      • Ninth Line at Cedarvale Boulevard  
      • Ninth Line at Coultice Park Access  
      • Ninth Line at Lakeshore Road  
  • Ninth Line and Sunset Boulevard

York Region is installing an overhead flashing beacon and “SLOW DOWN” pavement markings and warning signs to increase driver awareness and improve safety in the seniors zone.

  • Bloomington Road

York Region is reducing the speed limit on Bloomington Road to 60 km/h from Warden Avenue to Kennedy Road
