Road Closure Notice: Hoover Park Drive

Background:

As part of the Whistle Cessation Upgrades project, the Town’s Contractor, Lyncon Construction Inc., will be closing Hoover Park Drive from Ken Laushway Avenue to Ninth Line. Construction includes Metrolinx railway track panel replacement and road paving. Weather permitting, the road closure is scheduled from June 6, 1AM – June 6, 6PM.

What drivers can expect:

A detour plan (as shown on the map below) with signage instructing drivers how to navigate the road closure. Local traffic only, will be permitted access to Hoover Park Drive, from Ninth Line to Greenhouse Lane and from Ken Laushway Avenue/Cabin Trail Crescent to Ida Jane Grove.

Two (2) portable variable message signs will be placed on Hoover Park Drive (one for east bound traffic and one west bound traffic), starting Monday, June 1st to provide the public with advance notice of the scheduled road closure.

Traffic disruptions are to be expected, but the Contractor will implement all necessary traffic control measures to ensure safety and minimize delays during the road closure.
