Warden and Bloomington School Zone Pavement Marking Enhancement Pilot
There will be an upcoming pilot for a new pavement marking design in the school zone at Whitchurch Highlands Public School, located at Warden Avenue and Bloomington Road.
The pilot is scheduled to begin June 10th and is expected to be completed by June 17th, pending any weather delays. All work will be carried out overnight to minimize traffic disruptions.
The pilot will include both Warden Avenue and Bloomington Road and will incorporate the following measures to increase awareness of the school zone and help manage vehicle speeds:
- Installation of optical speed bars leading to the existing “SLOW DOWN” markings
- Replacement of existing 10 cm longitudinal lines with wider 20 cm longitudinal lines
