By way of the Planning Act, the province of Ontario has delegated various planning functions to the Town, including the authority to adopt an official plan, establish a zoning by-law, and approve the subdivision of land. Together these planning tools constitute the framework for land use and development in the Town.

The Planning Act also provides several processes by which a landowner can make application to amend the planning framework as it applies to their land. As part of an application under the Planning Act, the landowner may be required to submit plans, studies, and reports to inform Council’s decision.

This page provides a list of planning applications currently being reviewed by staff and considered by Council. By clicking on each application, you can find more details about what is being proposed and view the supporting documents provided by the applicant, such as a detailed site plan or traffic study. Should you wish to participate in the planning process, you can also find information about whether a public planning meeting has been scheduled and how to contact the Town planner on the file.
