Memorial Park Trail Connection

The Town of Stouffville, in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and York Region, is building a new trail connection in Memorial Park, west of Thicketwood Boulevard. This project will link the multi-use trail on the north side of Park Drive to the Stouffville-Rouge Trail network south of Hoover Park Drive, improving connectivity and access within our community.

Construction Impacts:

  • Park closure: Entry to Memorial Park will be closed to the public for the duration of construction.
  • Noise & dust: Temporary construction-related dust and noise may occur during working hours.
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Site access: Primary access via Park Road; secondary access via Lori Avenue and Thicketwood Boulevard. Please obey all signage and directions from site personnel.

Project Timeline

Construction for the Memorial Park Trail Connection is scheduled to begin in September 2025 and is expected to be completed by June 2026. Following construction, restoration work, including tree and shrub plantings, is planned for later in 2026.

Safety Reminder

For everyone’s safety, residents are asked to respect all posted construction signage and to stay clear of work areas and equipment throughout the project.
