Downtown Revitalization: The first stage of construction is scheduled from November 2 to December 23, 2026. During this phase, crews will be working on Main Street between Park Drive and approximately 100 metres east of Park Drive to complete storm sewer extension and roadway restoration.

Construction equipment will be removed from the area for the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday Dec 5th.

Bethesda Road between Highway 48 and Ninth Line will be closed on October 20-26, 2026, weather permitting. The closure is required as part of ongoing development servicing works.

Local traffic will be permitted to access residential driveways; however, we ask that you follow all posted signage and instructions provided by construction staff for the duration of works. Please allow additional time to and from your residence to avoid periodic delays associated with construction.

Traffic disruptions are to be expected, but the Contractor will implement all necessary traffic control measures to ensure safety and minimize delays during the road closure.

Main Street Additional Paving Work

As part of the Town’s ongoing roadway rehabilitation program, additional paving work is scheduled for the eastbound lane of Main Street, from Highway 48 to 5417 Main Street, in October 2026, weather permitting.

This follow-up work is being completed to ensure the finished roadway meets the Town's quality standards.

The closure will be implemented on Main Street, stretching from Park Drive to the east side of Market Street. This closure will commence at 9 AM on Saturday, October 31, and we will reopen at 3 PM.
