Garbage tags

The Town of Stouffville has different options for recycling used clothing, textiles and cloth items. Cornerstone to Recovery collects these materials and sorts them to be reused or repurposed.

You can recycle textiles by dropping them off at a local drop-off bin or booking an at-home pick-up. To book an at-home pick-up, please call 1-866-927-3873 or email: binservice@cornerstonetorecovery.com. 

There are textile drop-off bins located at the following facilities:

• Leisure Centre, located at 2 Park Dr.
• Stouffville Clippers Complex, located at 120 Weldon Rd.
• Ballantrae Community Centre, located at 5592 Aurora Rd.
• Vandorf Park/Museum, located at 14732 Woodbine Ave.

If a bin is full, please do not leave material outside of the bin. Check back when the bin is empty or go to another location to make your donation.

You can book an appointment for at-home pick-up through Cornerstone to Recovery. Someone will come to your home and pick up your donations. Please call 1-866-927-3873 or email: binservice@cornerstonetorecovery.com to schedule.

You can donate any of the following materials in any condition (gently used, worn or torn) as long as they are clean, dry and odourless:

• Blankets, bedding, sheets, pillows
• Clothing, jackets and footwear
• Drapery, curtains
• Linens, towels, washcloths
• Purses, hats, belts and ties
• Reading glasses
• Sleeping bags
• Soft toys
• Sports equipment

We do not accept any of the following items in the textile drop-off bins:

• Appliances
• Electronics
• Furniture
• Hazardous waste
• Housewares and kitchenware
