You can request to turn on or off your water service in the Town of Stouffville. For example, you may want to make a request for one of the following:

• Internal plumbing maintenance- The internal shut off usually located near to the water meter inside the property is the responsibility of the property owner and is not maintained by Town staff.
• Seasonal shutdown
• Demolition of your existing property- For this request please have your demolition permit number ready. Also note that the water meter will need a final reading before being removed by Town Staff prior to the demolition. The meter cannot be removed by residents or their contractors and tampering with the seal on the meter will result in fines.

Depending on the timing of the service request, the following fees apply:

• For during regular business hours, the fee is $97 (paid in advance)
• For after hours service, the fee is $249 (invoiced to the property owner). See below for emergency request information.

Please complete our Water Access Request Application to have your water turned on or off at your property line. Alternatively, you can visit Customer Service located at 111 Sandiford Dr. in Stouffville between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

You must schedule your appointment at least 2 business days in advance and someone must be at your property when our service team arrives. This will allow you to confirm that the water has been shut off and turned back on again.
We schedule shut off appointments from Monday-Friday between beginning at 8:30 a.m. to be turned back on by 3 p.m.
