You can request a file search of a building’s history, including outstanding inspections or safety plan reviews, by sending a written request by mail to:

Your request must include a:

• Request letter noting the address of the requested property
• Signed release of authorization from the owner or a copy of the purchase agreement

Cheque for the file search fee, found in the Fees and Charges By-law.

To request a copy of a Fire Incident Report, please send a written request by mail to:

In your request, please include the following:

• Time, date and location of the incident
• Any vehicle or license plate information that may help in locating the report
• A cheque for the report request fee, found in the Fees and Charges By-law
